Not a great transfer window, but not an awful one either with the club being left shackled by a lack of funds available. In the sole arrival of Denis Suarez, the squad is certainly stronger than it was — especially as they managed to keep Aaron Ramsey until the end of the season — but it could have been so much better had they secured Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan as well. Bournemouth got a lot of their deals done early with Liverpool pair Dominic Solanke and Nathaniel Clyne arriving at the start of January. Nothing much of note from Brighton with most of their business concerning players leaving the club. They added Jan Mlakar and Tudor-Cristian Baluta to help their battle against relegation but whether they will be enough or not remains to be seen. Higuian was reunited with Maurizio Sarri, his manager at Napoli during the striker s most prolific spell of his career, while Suarez linked back up with Unai Emery after a spell together at Sevilla. Deep into deadline day, Crystal Palace completed the loan signing of Michy Batshuayi, who will spend the remainder of the season at Selhurst Park.
